IMF revises UK’s growth outlook

The International Monetary Fund has downgraded its growth forecast for the UK for this year and the next.

The IMF published in April projections of 2.7% growth for 2015, and 2.3% for 2016. In an update of the World Economic Outlook, however, the forecast now reads 2.4% for 2015, and 2.2% for 2016.

Yesterday, the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) for UK GDP growth in 2015.

It is now forecast to grow by 2.4% in 2015 as opposed to previous OBR estimation of 2.5%. The forecast for 2016 was unchanged at 2.3% in 2016.
