Farage blames Cameron 'fanaticism' for Libya migrant crisis
Nigel Farage today accused David Cameron of directly contributing to the migrant crisis in north Africa through his "fanaticism" in attacking the Gaddafi regime.
Mr Farage was asked for his view on the reported deaths today of hundreds of migrants who drowned in a boat travelling from Libya to Italy.
"Actually, it was the European response that caused this problem in the first place, the fanatacisim fo Sarkozy and Cameron to bomb Libya," he told the BBC's Sunday Politics programme.
The Ukip leader also stressed that he was in favour of allowing Christians from the Middle East to seek refuge from persecution in the UK.
