Legal practitioners will hear from leading experts on how to guard against cyber-attacks that threaten client confidentiality and learn how to negotiate the minefield of up-coming data protection rules, at this year’s Annual Bar and Young Bar Conference on Saturday 4 November.

With sessions on topics ranging from Brexit and diversity in the profession, to court reforms and fixed recoverable costs, the conference, now in its 32nd year, will give legal professionals help on how to grow and develop their professional practices.

A line-up of legal figures including The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer, KCB QC MP and Max Hill QC Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation will make for a stimulating and thought-provoking day.

Other influential keynote speakers include Susan Acland-Hood, Chief Executive, Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service; Sir David Bean, Chairman, the Law Commission; Professor Richard Susskind OBE, author, speaker, and independent adviser to professional firms and to national governments; The Rt Hon Lady Justice Hallett, Vice President of the Court of Appeal Criminal Division; Professor Lord Kakkar, Chairman of the  Judicial Appointments Commission; and Professor David Ormerod QC, Law Commissioner responsible for Criminal Law.
