Former British National Party leader Nick Griffin has been expelled as a member of the party.

The BNP’s chairman Adam Walker wrote to the former MEP accusing him of trying to “embroil the BNP in factionalism designed to destabilise our party”, while a spokesperson said Mr Griffin “did not adjust well to being given the honorary title of president”.

Mr Griffin hit back, accusing the party of “operating outside the constitution” and vowing to “ignore their plastic gangster games”.
