A man has been found guilty of sending abusive messages on Twitter to a prominent female Labour MP.

Peter Nunn, 33, bombarded Stella Creasy with tweets and retweeted threats to sexually assault the Walthamstow MP. At a hearing at the City of London Magistrates' Court, Mr Nunn was found guilty of sending indecent, obscene or menacing messages. Ms Creasy was targeted by online trolls after she took part in a feminist campaign to get Jane Austen on the new £10 note.
