As a Leave backing Labour MP in a staunchly pro-Remain constituency, Kate Hoey is seen as facing an uphill struggle like never before.

With the Lib Dems putting Britain’s relationship with Europe at the heart of their campaign, Ms Hoey’s long held Vauxhall seat is one which they believe they can give chase.

While candidate George Turner may be feeling giddy at the prospect of such a win however, the Labour MP has been accused of seeing her rival left positively legless.

“Wonderful protest by children in North Lambeth to call on politicians to sign the #CleanAirPledge. Fully support,” Ms Hoey tweeted.

But the picture showing the MP in action saw poor Mr Turner's top half edited out... with his legs rather peculiarly left in.

One Twitter user suggested another occasion, where Ms Hoey could have used such photo-editing skills...

But as the race for Vauxhall hots up, Mr Turner is showing no sign of running away.
