Good Things Foundation is the UK's leading digital and social inclusion charity, having supported over 2 million people to improve their digital skills since 2010 working with a range of partners.

Good Things Foundation call on the next Government to:

  • Commit to eradicating the digital divide within the next two Parliaments from the current 11.5m people who lack basic digital skills. Ensuring everyone has the digital skills they need could provide benefits to £14bn to the UK economy by 2025

  • Ensure investment is focussed on programmes and approaches that overcome barriers to skills and motivation as well as access, to ensure people can use the internet confidently and safely

  • Maintain and increase investment in digital inclusion, both directly and by building digital inclusion into other policy programmes

  • Act immediately to drive further investment in digital inclusion from the private sector and grant making bodies.
