NOAH is the trade association representing the UK animal health industry: its aim is to promote the benefits of licensed medicines and solutions for the health and welfare of all animals.

The animal medicines industry is dedicated to providing safe, effective, quality products for the treatment and welfare of all animals, large or small. NOAH has been representing the companies that research, develop, manufacture and market licensed animal medicines in the UK since 1986.

The association’s membership represents in excess of 97% of the UK animal medicines market worth in excess of £745 million per annum (2022) and directly supporting 4000 highly skilled jobs in the fields of science research and innovation in the UK. It also indirectly supporting around 22000 vets practising in the UK, 7000 qualified animal health advisors (SQPs), over 13500 veterinary nurses and many thousands of livestock farmers and people involved in pet and equine care, sports and leisure.

NOAH was formed on 1 January 1986 to replace the Animal Health Register of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, which dated back to 1955.
