Building & Fire Safety: Achieving regulatory compliance

Building & Fire Safety: Achieving regulatory compliance

Venue & Event Details

The landmark Building Safety Act 2022 is now English law and is complemented by the commencement of the Fire Safety Act 2021. This legislation creates a new safety regime for the way residential buildings are constructed and maintained. It will have huge ramifications for all built environment professionals, imposing wide-ranging new duties designed to increase the accountability, transparency and competency across the entire lifecycle of a building. Although the Building Safety Act was granted Royal Assent at the end of April 2022, many of the provisions will not come into force for another year to eighteen months, as secondary legislation is developed. Are you ready for what comes next? Attend this event to get an in-depth understanding of the impact of the biggest regulatory changes to the UK built environment in almost 40 years.

The House Briefing will consider the legal and regulatory ramifications of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Act 2021, exploring what it means for those involved in the design, construction, maintenance and management of buildings in England. Understand the latest updates and developments from Government, hear first-hand from the new regulators and be ready for what comes next with practical insight and guidance and takeaways from policy experts and key stakeholders.
