The prestigious Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards and Dinner 2013 was held on Thursday 11 July 2013 in London. The Awards recognise, reward and promote Best Practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK and are a chance for TAF members to showcase their hard work and achievements during the last twelve months.

Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) is delighted to announce that
its PaperWorks website, which provides school teachers with a range of
curriculum-linked multimedia learning resources, was winner of the 2013 Best
Practice Awards Website of the Year.

PaperWorks has been developed to fit with modern classroom teaching
techniques and facilities, and supports the Paper Industry’s aim to counter
some of the common misconceptions of what has become one of the most
sustainable and forward-thinking industries in the UK.

PaperWorks met stiff competition from other UK Trade Associations to win the prestigious Website of the Year award, which adds to support it has already received from both Industry and the Education sector.

David Workman, Director General said: “This is a prestigious award which justly recognises the efforts of the CPI team in developing this website. I’m sure, it will also help to promote PaperWorks as a valued educational resource; it has already received critical acclaim, notably a five star rating from the Times Educational Supplement.”

Julia Evans, Chair of the Trade Association Forum, said: “Judging the TAF awards is always difficult and this year was absolutely no exception. The standard of entries gets higher and higher each year and anyone who is shortlisted can be really proud of their achievement. To the award winners my congratulations – a superb achievement and something to which we can all aspire.”
