GMB signs recognition deal for former southern cross staff at two zest care homes in Birmingham

It has taken months of negotiation but we finally signed last week to re-establish recognition at Bramley Court and Bramley Grove in Yardley Wood says GMB

GMB, the union for care home staff, is pleased to announce that a new recognition agreement has been signed with Zest Care, one of the care providers that took over the running of 2 homes in Birmingham when Southern Cross ceased trading in 2011.

The agreement was signed on 31 July 2013. It covers two care homes Bramley Grove Bramley Court. They are both on the same site at 251 School Road, Yardley Wood, Birmingham, B14 4ER.

Neil Williams, GMB Regional Organiser said:

"It has taken months of negotiation and hard work to get there but we finally signed the papers last week and are pleased to announce that we have re-established recognition at Bramley Court and Bramley Grove.”
