Houses of Parliament:
House of Lords
Earl of Selborne (Non-affiliated, hereditary peer) retired from the House of Lords on 26th March. A hereditary peer by-election will take place in due course.
Lord Garel-Jones (Conservative, life peer) died on 24th March.
Lord Graham of Edmonton (Labour/Co-op, life peer) died on 20th March.
Baroness Penn replaces Baroness Berridge as Government Whip (Baroness in Waiting).
Departments of State:
Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
Nick Hurd appointed as Independent Adviser on Grenfell.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
Hemant Patel appointed as a Non-Executive Board Member.
Cabinet Office
Advisory Committee on Business Appointments – Lord Pickles to replace Baroness Browning as Chair on 1st April.
Non-Ministerial Departments
Competition and Markets Authority – Andrea Coscelli reappointed as Chief Executive.
Parties:
Liberal Democrats:
Sarah Olney replaced Munira Wilson as Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Transport.
Devolved Authorities:
Greater London Authority
Alison Moore and Murad Qureshi replaced Tom Copley and Fiona Twycross as Labour Londonwide AMs.
Tom Copley took up post as Deputy Mayor for Housing.
Northern Ireland Assembly
Health Committee - Colin McGrath replaced Sinead Bradley as a member.
