Partnerships, Networks and Coalitions

Malaria Consortium

2 min read

Our partners, networks and coalitions are central to our advocacy work. We have enabled, supported, and strengthened multiple advocacy platforms against malaria and other communicable diseases to communicate as one voice to effectively inform policy.

In addition to our engagement at a country level with national advocacy networks and civil society groups on malaria and child health, we are currently involved with the following advocacy platforms globally and in Europe:

Roll Back Malaria Partnership

The Roll Back Malaria Partnership mobilises for action and resources on malaria and forges consensus among partners. A founding member of the Partnership, Malaria Consortium is a key contributor to the global framework to implement coordinated action against malaria. The Partnership comprises more than 500 members, including those from malaria endemic countries, international donors and foundations, the private sector, nongovernmental and community-based organisations, and research and academic institutions.

UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases

As a supporter of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases, Malaria Consortium aims to inform Parliamentarians of the critical issues surrounding malaria and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The Group provides a monthly forum where issues and solutions relevant to malaria and NTDs are presented and discussed with expert input from guest speakers. To see upcoming meetings, please visit the events page.

Action for Global Health

As a member of the Action for Global Health network, Malaria Consortium contributes to the monitoring and promotion of discussion over how the actions and policies of European governments affect health in developing countries. The network also influences policy to achieve the current health Millennium Development Goals and beyond.

UK Coalition Against Neglected Tropical Diseases

Malaria Consortium works towards fostering communication and information sharing between all agencies invested in NTD control through its membership of this Coalition. This collective approach is vital in the support of long term sustainable control and elimination of NTDs and ensuring that they are included within national, regional and international health development frameworks.

UK Malaria Advocates

UK Malaria Advocates is a collaborative partnership between organisations actively engaged in advocacy in the UK for malaria related issues, and aims to enhance coordination, collaboration and amplification of UK malaria related advocacy. In addition to Malaria Consortium, the group includes Malaria No More UK, PATH, Medicines for Malaria Venture, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, and Innovative Vector Control Consortium.
