Back Nuclear Energy 2026

Back Nuclear Energy is the UK’s national awareness week. We will be asking all stakeholders to back nuclear energy. Launching in October 2026, it will provide a high-profile platform to engage business leaders, policymakers and the public in a focused national conversation about the role of nuclear in Britain’s energy future.

Nuclear energy provides clean, safe, abundant and on-demand power. It strengthens our energy security, reduces exposure to volatile and expensive global energy markets, supports the UK’s long-term economic growth and provides well-paid, skilled jobs.

Ambassadors
Several leading figures are lending their name to the new national awareness week, including; Bill Esterson MP, Andrew Bowie MP, James Naish MP, Lord Ravensdale, Julia Pyke, Trudy Harrison, Virginia Crosbie, Prof Adrian Bull, Dr Tim Gregory and Zion Lights.

Events
Across the week, 12-18 October, events will take place online and in Westminster.
