Carers Trust statement on Care and Support Alliance study Carers Trust 1 min read16 December 2013 Partner content Carers Trust, the largest charity for carers and a member of the Care and Support Alliance, is very concerned by the findings of the new study by the London School of Economics. Half a million older and disabled people who would have received social care five years ago, now receive no local support. This means that there is more pressure on carers and families to provide support. Failure to address this social care funding crisis leaves carers and families picking up the pieces. We urge Ministers to re-think the proposal to restrict who gets support and address the funding crisis in local care.
