Debt recovery partnership for BVA members
The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has partnered with Quest Debt Recovery Ltd to help practices deal with bad debts by offering significantly reduced rates for BVA members with over 50% savings on commission.
Quest specialises in the recovery of bad debts, slow paying customers and disputed accounts in the veterinary sector which means it has a good understanding of the relationship between practice and animal owners. It can recover small or large amounts of debt for practices.
BVA President Robin Hargreaves explained the driver for this partnership:
“Bad debtors blight veterinary businesses up and down the country and while every practice has its own way of dealing with the issue our Members Services Group felt a responsible yet robust debt recovery service offered under the right conditions would add value to the BVA membership package.”
BVA members receive Quest debt recovery services at a substantial discount
• ‘No Collection, No Fee’ debt recovery with a low commission rate fixed at 10% on recovered debt - instead of the standard 25%
• ‘No Trace, No Fee’ tracing service at a fixed fee of £25.00 plus VAT when a debtor is successfully traced – instead of £30-40
• County Court Administration provided for £50 plus VAT where the debt value is less than £600 - instead of the standard £100
Existing customer Victoria Lee, RVN and Practice Manager at Chantry Vets in Wakefield said:
“I have been using Quest Debt Recovery for over a year, they are efficient, provide free tracing facilities and send good demand letters.
“The majority of the debts we send are small amounts of around £50 to £120. Most commonly, these are unpaid consultations and euthanasias. Quest offer quite a personal service for a debt collector and are easy to correspond with via email or phone from a practice point of view.“
