New safety measures in place by Google and Microsoft
Following on from the announcement that Google and Microsoft have agreed measures to make it harder to find child abuse images online.
Shaun Kelly, head of safeguarding at Action for Children, and a member of the UK council for Child Internet Safety, says:
“This is a positive leap forward in the fight to keep children safe online; however we must ensure that this level of work is maintained and remains at the forefront of internet protection.
"Everyone, charities, government and online experts, not just search engines like Google and Microsoft, all have a part to play in helping parents to keep children safe and to teach young people to use the internet safely”.
