Local authority by-election held 16/04/2015:

Cumbria CC – Walney South: Labour Hold.

Cassidy, Frank - Labour – 727 (63.38%) **elected**
Peers, Greg - Conservative – 181 (15.78%)
Pritchard, Graham – UK Independence Party – 239 (20.84%)

Votes: 1147
Turnout: 27.97%
Majority: 488

By-election held following the resignation of Labour Councillor Mandy Telford.

Political compositions of the local authorities concerned:

Cumbria CC: Labour 36, Conservative 26, Liberal Democrats 14, Independent 5, West Cumbria Independent Group 2, Vacancies 1 - No Overall Control.
