Denbighshire County Council– Rhyl South West: Labour hold.

By-election held following the death of Labour councillor Margaret McCarroll.

Prendergast, Peter – Labour – 474 votes (64%) **elected**
Jones, Melanie– Conservative – 131 votes (18%)
Wilmot, David – Plaid Cymru – 62 votes (8%)
Hannam, Diana – Independent – 52 votes (7%)
Dear, David – Liberal Democrat – 26 votes (3%)

Votes: 745*
Turnout: 20%
Majority: 343
