Fiverr, a platform that connects businesses with freelancers offering digital services, has joined as a sponsor of National Freelancers Day 2019, IPSE (the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed) announced today.

National Freelancers Day is the UK’s largest celebration of self-employment. Held on 20 June at Kings Place in central London, it will feature workshops, talks and keynote speeches from international bestselling author Adam Kay as well as entrepreneur and founder of The Dots, Pip Jamieson.

Fiverr is also the sponsor of the Freelance Project of the Year category at the Freelancer Awards on 13 June at Kings Place.

“We’re excited to partner with IPSE this year and join in their committed effort to help freelancers from all over the UK reach their full potential,” said Andrew Wray, UK Country Manager at Fiverr. “Fiverr was built on the idea of changing how the world works together. The UK is a dynamic and growing market for freelancers and it’s important that we continue to offer opportunities that support and empower them to pursue their dreams as they do what they love.”

Chris Bryce, IPSE CEO, commented: “Fiverr will be a fantastic sponsor for National Freelancers Day 2019. Finding work is one of the great challenges facing freelancers and technology offers a revolutionary solution.

“National Freelancers Day has gone from strength to strength over the last 11 years. The day is the best place to find a range of advice, tips and networking for new, old or prospective freelancers. Time is running out to get a ticket so sign up to join us now.”
