Here is a summary of this morning's briefing for lobby journalists by the Prime Minister's official spokesman.
CABINET
At this morning's meeting of Cabinet, ministers spent around 20 minutes discussing the votes on the EU Withdrawal Bill, which returns to the Commons today. The spokesman said: "The Prime Minister said the votes were important because of the message that they send to Brussels. She said anything which undermines the Government at home would make negotiations with the EU more difficult."
Cabinet was then updated on the events to mark the first anniversary of the Grenfell tragedy. The spokesman said: "The Prime Minister said this provides a moment of reflection for us all. She said the Government will do everything necessary to prevent a tragedy like this ever happening again."
Cabinet was also updated on the World Cup with up to 10,000 England fans expected to attend. "The Foreign Office has been working closely with the UK police and with supporters' groups to ensure fans have been provided with all the necessary information and advice before they travel," the spokesman said.
PHILLIP LEE'S RESIGNATION
The spokesman said the Prime Minister was informed by letter about Dr Lee's resignation this morning. He said: "His resignation is a matter for him. We thank him for his service.
"The Prime Minister is working for a Brexit which will be to the benefit of every citizen in the UK and on delivering the will of the British people."
