At this morning's meeting of Cabinet, ministers spent around 20 minutes discussing the votes on the EU Withdrawal Bill, which returns to the Commons today. The spokesman said: "The Prime Minister said the votes were important because of the message that they send to Brussels. She said anything which undermines the Government at home would make negotiations with the EU more difficult."
Cabinet was then updated on the events to mark the first anniversary of the Grenfell tragedy. The spokesman said: "The Prime Minister said this provides a moment of reflection for us all. She said the Government will do everything necessary to prevent a tragedy like this ever happening again."
