Houses of Parliament:

House of Lords

Lord Grade of Yarmouth was a Conservative Peer, now sits as a Non-affiliated Peer.

Nick Markham CBE to be appointed as a Conservative Life Peer.

UK Government:

Home Office

Security Industry Authority – Caroline Corby appointed as Non-executive Director for three years and six months from 19 September.

Privy Council Office

Edward Argar MP, Kemi Badenoch MP, Vicky Ford MP, James Heappey MP, Ranil Jayawardena MP, Stephen McPartland MP, Wendy Morton MP, Chris Philp MP, Chloe Smith MP, Graham Stuart MP, Lord True and Tom Tugendhat MP sworn in as Members of the Privy Council.

Parties:

Scottish Conservatives

Stephen Kerr appointed as Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills; previously Chief Whip.

Alexander Burnett appointed as Chief Whip, previously Deputy Chief Whip.

Devolved Administrations:

Welsh Government

Citizen Voice Body for Health and Social Care – Alyson Thomas appointed as Interim Chief Executive for up to one year.

Welsh Revenue Authority – Ruth Glazzard selected as the preferred candidate for Chair. The current Chair, Kathryn Bishop, is due to step down in October.

Northern Ireland Executive

Greg McCourt re-appointed as the Appointed Person under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (External Requests and Orders) Order 2005 for three years until 31 July 2025.

Nottinghamshire County Council – Adrian Smith appointed as Chief Executive.

Thurrock Council – Chief Executive Lyn Carpenter is currently taking a period of leave; Ian Wake appointed as Acting Chief Executive in her absence.
