We are delighted to be sponsoring the TES Secondary School of the Year award for the second year running. The award recognises the teams that demonstrate innovation and imagination in developing students in ways that go far beyond the limits of league tables.

Sponsoring the award is part of AQA's commitment to supporting and celebrating great teaching, for example though the charity's 'Teaching that inspires' and 'My favourite English teacher' initiatives.

Sadie Visick, AQA's Director of Communications and Marketing, said:

"The research shows it's great teaching that makes the difference to what students achieve at school.

"At AQA, we try to do our bit to support teachers, so they can give their students the best possible chance in life. We do this by providing qualifications that enable all students to shine and resources and support which bring subjects to life in the classroom. The Secondary School of the Year award recognises the dedication and commitment of the teachers and school leaders who do this brilliantly."

Entries are free and open to state and independent primary and secondary schools in the UK. To put forward your nominations for Secondary School of the year, or for any of the other categories, take a look at the TES Schools Awards 2015 website. All you have to do is submit 500 words on why you or your nominee deserves to win by 4 March 2015. Good luck!
