The campaign to make the blacklisting employers face up to what they did, apologise for it and compensate the victims is building momentum says GMB.

GMB, the union for construction workers, commented on the call by the chair of Chair of the Scottish Affairs Committee that Government launch a full investigation into blacklisting on Crossrail. See notes to editors for copy of the press release on the issue.

Justin Bowden GMB national officer said:

"the campaign to make the blacklisting employers, and the dozens of managers who organized it day to day, face up to what they did, apologise for it and compensate the victims is building momentum.

These employers must also proactively offer jobs to those they blacklisted.

These companies face being shut out of public sector contracts on the allowable grounds of grave misconduct until they do so."
