West Bromwich-based manufacturer Corrugated Box Supplies is set for growth after acquiring a new trading site at the Lyntown Trading Estate, Eccles, Manchester. The move will help its paper trading company Corrugated Paper Supplies expand its manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand. The deal was backed by a £600,000 finance package from Santander Corporate Commercial.

The family-owned business founded in 1996 is an independent corrugated box manufacturer operating from sites in Birmingham, London and Manchester. It has grown steadily, both organically and through acquisition, from a small company with just one basic corrugating box machine to one of the leading companies in the sector today with a turnover of around £15 million. The company acquired Corrugated Paper Sales a few years ago, which enabled it to take control of its whole supply chain, from paper sourcing, production of corrugated board and manufacture of boxes.

The business is run by the five brothers, Jitha, Jan, Jagdishan, Mantir and Jurloden Singh Sahota and employs 150 staff across its three sites.

Jitha Singh Sahota, Managing Director of Corrugated Box Supplies, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this new site in Manchester. This will enable us to increase capacity and bring more of our supply chain under the one roof, maximising efficiencies and giving us head room to continue to grow the business at the rate seen in recent years.”

Sukhjeeven Nat, Relationship Director for Santander Corporate Commercial, said: “We are pleased to have been able to support Jitha and his team with this latest acquisition. Corrugated Box Supplies is a rapidly growing business which has been developing over the past two decades into one of the leading companies in its market. I look forward to seeing where this savvy and expert management team take the business next.”
