'Cashback for Christmas' as Santander's 1|2|3 credit card offers bonus cashback on Amazon Christmas New Year spend

From Friday 1 November 2013 through to 31 January 2014, Santander 1|2|3 Cashback Credit Card customers will be able to earn 1 per cent cashback on ALL Amazon.co.uk spend when using their credit card on the UK retailer website, helping them save on Christmas and New Year spending.

The offer, available to both new and existing customers, will reward them with 1 per cent cashback on any items purchased on the online retailer between 00.01hrs 1 November 2013 through to 23:59hrs 31 January 2014. This is in addition to the existing high street and online cashback categories; 1 per cent for supermarket spend, 2 per cent for department store spend and 3 per cent for petrol station, rail and Transport for London spend.

Alan Mathewson, CEO of Santander Cards, commented: “Amazon was the most popular online retailer for 1|2|3 credit card customers in the run up to last Christmas. We’ve responded to our card customer’s needs and are now rewarding them with an additional 1 per cent on Amazon spend during the Christmas period. And, as an added bonus, we offering cashback through to through 31 January, so customers can make the most of their ‘sales spend’.

“When we first launched the 1|2|3 card two years ago, it was all about saving money for our customers on their everyday spend. Christmas can be an expensive time of year, with the cost of presents, food or travel to family and friends continuing to rise, so our new Amazon bonus cashback offer alongside our existing ‘everyday spend’ cashback categories will help customers save even more money during the festive period. And, with the cashback bonus available through to end of January, customers can treat themselves at the January sales and earn cashback at the same time.”

The new 1 per cent category on Amazon spend will be available exclusively to new and existing 1|2|3 credit card customers from 1 November to 31 January 2014.
