The Chartered Institute of Building has opened up its annual International Innovation Research (I R) Awards. The Awards, which have been running for over 10 years, celebrate achievement across the built environment, from academic research to industry innovation.

Dr. Chung-Chin Kao, Innovation and Research Manager at the CIOB, said: “The I R Awards are open to people at all stages of their career and this year’s competition is set to bigger and better than ever before, with cash prizes of up to £2,000. We received over 200 submissions from 24 different countries for last year’s Awards highlighting the importance of innovation and research on an international scale. The Awards are thus in place to symbolise and reward those at the forefront for carrying out, and actively, promoting research and innovation.”
