IPCC announcement on re-determination of investigation into conduct of Police Federation representatives

Home Affairs Select Committee (HASC) report Leadership and Standards in the Police
Steve Williams, Chairman, Police Federation of England and Wales, says:
"The Police Federation has asked that the Independent Review, being undertaken by Sir David Normington, looks at and considers the recommendations made by the Home Affairs Select Committee report into ‘Leadership and Standards in the Police’.
"It is important that we understand and tackle all issues impacting on the Federation and it is only right that the Independent Review considers the HASC report as part of the broader work it is undertaking.
"Until the Independent Review is published (January 2014) it would be inappropriate to comment further."
