EDF ignites summer savings with £850 off heat pumps
EDF Heat Pumps launches £500 discount on new air source heat pump installations, on top of £351 in savings on bills.
EDF is reducing the cost of air source heat pump installations this summer, giving customers £500 off[1] for a limited time alongside £351[2] in energy bill savings.
Available up until midnight on 10th August, the discount will mean a complete, expertly designed and installed heat pump system now starts from £4,080[3] when applying the £7,500 government grant. Finance options are also available to help customers spread the cost.
Alongside the discount, customers purchasing an air source heat pump can sign up to EDF’s Heat Pump and Save Tracker tariff and benefit from zero standing charge for a whole year – pocketing an additional £351 in savings.
EDF has three heat pump tariffs which have been designed specifically for heat pump users and provide six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity daily during off-peak periods (4am – 7am and 1pm – 4pm), without the burden of any peak rates or exit fees.

- A typical customer can save £351 per year versus the current single-rate price cap tariff. This is based on the following: £164 of savings are based on a customer using Ofgem’s typical domestic consumption of 2700 kWh electricity and with heating provided by an air source heat pump with a coefficient of performance (CoP) of 3.1 providing equivalent heat to that from a 94% gas boiler using 11,500 kWh of gas. A further £187 of savings based on 0p per day electricity standing charge based on the Q2 Ofgem price cap using a regional average. Total saving of £164 + £187 = £351.
