Commenting on the Social Mobility Child Poverty Commissions latest report A qualitative evaluation of non-educational barriers to the elite professions, Marianne Fallon, Partner and Head of Corporate Affairs at KPMG said:

“It is extremely disappointing that young people from less privileged backgrounds are struggling to get on the career ladder. The health of the UK economy is dependent on business widening the pool of talented young people they recruit from. As a large firm, employing over 12,000 people in the UK, we are actively offering a variety of routes in to the firm, such as our newly announced apprenticeship scheme – KPMG360°. This needs to be central to businesses strategy as such industries will only thrive with diverse recruitment.”
