All things beef and lamb, from recipes and nutritional information to carving tutorials and butcher locations, have been pulled together in a revamped consumer website from EBLEX.

The Simply Beef and Lamb website www.simplybeefandlamb.co.uk has been overhauled to make it the definitive public-facing website for beef and lamb, with key information to help people make an easy decision to cook with beef and lamb.

As well as a reworked recipe section, it includes pages on how to prepare and carve the meat, and has been put together following in-depth consumer research carried out last year. Existing users highlighted a “wishlist” of website elements, including easier-to-search-for recipes and clearer categorisation of meal ideas, such as those that children are likely to enjoy.

Zhenya Dewfield, EBLEX digital product manager, said: “Inspiration for meals, where to buy the meat, how to cook it, how to carve it, the best ways to serve it and what nutritional value it has - we’ve listened to what consumers want and developed a site that aims to be the definitive place for people to find information on beef and lamb.

“With information on cuts and nutrition, the website should help confused consumers understand the benefits of quality assured beef and lamb, such as Quality Standard Mark or Red Tractor beef and lamb, as well as some of the best ways to cook it. Over the next year the website will also be filled with more content, including blogs and video posts, providing a one-stop shop of practical and interactive information for consumers to tap into.

“Our ultimate aim is to stimulate demand for beef and lamb and helping consumers find out all they need to know about it is a vital piece of the strategy.”
