Showcasing Life and Medical Sciences Research at the University of Hertfordshire

The University of Hertfordshires Vice-Chancellor, Professor Quintin McKellar, will be opening the Life and Medical Sciences Research Conference on Tuesday 5 April 2016, College Lane Campus.

The conference promises an exciting programme of talks and poster presentations from students, covering a wide range of topics which reflect the breadth of the research in this field at the University.

Plenary lectures will be given by distinguished speakers from industry, University of Hertfordshire as well as other UK universities, on a range of topics including challenges in drug discovery and technology in healthcare. In recognition of the University of Hertfordshire’s commitment to the Athena SWAN Charter, a keynote lecture will be given by Professor Jane Hill, Department of Biology at the University of York, entitled ‘Going for Gold - some reflections on the pathway to Athena SWAN Gold from Biology at York’.

The conference will be held at Lindop Building, College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire from 8.15am to 4.30pm.  It is free to attend and will be of importance to those with an interest in science.
