St John Ambulance is the nation's leading first aid charity.
We believe that no one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders and everyone should receive first aid from those around them. Too many lives are lost each year when first aid could have helped.
Since the 2015 election, we have worked tirelessly to provide first aid and have trained hundreds of thousands of first aiders, who now have the confidence to step forward where needed. There is a lot more we could do and we won’t stop while there are lives being lost unnecessarily.
We are calling on the next government to do three key things that will save more lives and make communities stronger:

Help us train a new generation of life savers by ensuring all young people can learn first aid at school.

Protect workplace health and safety post-Brexit.

Encourage the NHS to commission services in a more sustainable way.
