Local authority by-election held Thursday 21st August 2014:

Broadland District Council – Wroxham – Conservative gain from Liberal Democrat.

By-election held due to resignation of Liberal Democrat Stephen Buckle in July.

Kemp, Malcolm – Labour – 103 votes (11.6%)
Springall, Malcolm – Liberal Democrat – 386 votes (43.4%)
Whymark, Fran – Conservative – 400 votes (45%) **elected**

Votes: 889
Turnout: 889 (22.8%)
Majority: 14

Political compositions of the local authorities concerned:
Broadland District Council– Conservative 32, Liberal Democrat 11, Independent 3, Labour 1. Conservative controlled.
