By-election held following the resignation of Conservative councillor Paul Harley.

Asmal, Hanif – Conservative – 404 (22.01%)
Prior, Tom – UKIP – 496 (27.02%)
Canham, Chris – British Democrats – 94 (5.13%)
Denham, Stephen – BNP – 58 (3.17%)

Votes: 1, 835*
Turnout: 24%
Majority: 287

Flintshire County Council – Mostyn: Independent gain.

By-election held following the disqualification of New Independents Party councillor Patrick Heesom.

Banks, Pam – Welsh Labour – 191 (37.23%)
Pendlebury, Richard – Welsh Conservatives – 27 (5.26%)
Roney, David – Independent – 205 (39.96%) **elected**
Soutter, Liz – UKIP – 90 (17.55%)
