This week saw a series of coordinated operations by police and Border Force officers, together with their US counterparts, at a number of UK transport hubs to stop FGM offences. Minister for Crime, Safeguarding and Vulnerability Victoria Atkins says this is just one of many steps needed to eradicate the practice.
