Following a competitive external search ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has appointed Harry McAdoo as director of brand and corporate reputation. He joins from ICAEW where he was director of communications.

Commenting on his appointment, Harry McAdoo said:

“ACCA has a great global brand. I am looking forward to helping the organisation leverage it with its many stakeholders so that it can consolidate its position as the leading provider of professional accountants the world needs.

“ACCA was founded in 1904 to enable greater access to the profession. That founding conviction is just as important today. Across developed and emerging economies there is a real need for finance professionals with the judgement and expertise to help organisations thrive. ACCA provides bright, capable people with that opportunity in 95 different countries and I am energised about helping them grow.”

Commenting on his appointment, Alan Hatfield, ACCA's executive director of strategy and development said:

“I am really pleased that Harry is coming on board. Throughout the interview process he demonstrated a clear understanding of our strategy and brand as well as the values that make us who we are. I have no doubt he will make a strong contribution to our future success.”

Harry McAdoo will lead ACCA's team responsible for driving brand and corporate reputation across the world, reporting to Alan Hatfield, executive director of strategy and development. He will take up his new post in October.
