Equities remain best-selling asset class for five consecutive months The Investment Association | Investment Association 1 min read29 October 2015 Partner content The Investment Association today publishes its monthly statistics for authorised investment funds forSeptember 2015 which show: - Equity continues to be the best-selling asset class for the fifth consecutive month with net retail sales of £1.1 billion - UK Equity Income sector remains the top-selling sector with net retail sales £445 million - Fixed income funds see highest outflow in net retail sales since June 2013 at £515 million - Total net retail sales of £1.1 billion Guy Sears, Interim Chief Executive at the Investment Association said: "Net retail sales went back above the £1 billion mark in September with investors directing the majority of their money into equity funds - UK equity in particular. "Property and Mixed Assets still seems to be favoured if we look at the top five best-selling sectors. However fixed income continues to suffer the highest withdrawals we have seen for this asset class for some time."
