The Go-Ahead Group’s head office has achieved a Gold Award from Investors in People (IIP). This is granted against an internationally-recognised standard that defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to promote a culture of high performance.

A Gold award recognises Go-Ahead’s commitment to its people and signals that the organisation will continue to invest, nurture and support its workforce.

Over 75 per cent of Go-Ahead’s head office colleagues took part in the assessment, with 100 per cent of those interviewed stating they would recommend Go-Ahead as an employer to friends.

The new IIP framework, uses nine key indicators of organisations that consistently outperform their peers this enables employers to measure progress by identifying capabilities required for success, detailing areas of improvement and highlighting outstanding practice to assist in creating a culture of high performance.

Investors in People Assessor Esther O’Halloran said: “The overall results of this assessment demonstrate continuous progress and improvements against the IIP framework, with embedded people development practices in place.  Go-Ahead’s head office has fully met the requirements for Advanced level.  People and leaders actively drive positive outcomes, taking ownership of their work, so a well-deserved Gold has been achieved and should be cause for celebration”.

Go-Ahead Group People Director Siobhan Morrison said: “I’m delighted our efforts have been recognised.  Achieving a gold award shows that we are committed to improving the capability of our people, have a culture focused on enhancing what we do day in day out and emphasises the tremendous value we collectively place on continuous improvement, in summary it demonstrates Go-Ahead continues to be a great place to work.”
