Go-Ahead shortlisted for Northern and TransPennine Express
The Go-Ahead Group is pleased to learn its joint venture partnership with Keolis - Govia - has been shortlisted to bid for the Northern franchise. And together with Keolis (Keolis Go-Ahead Limited) is being considered for TransPennine Express.
Go-Ahead Chief Executive, David Brown, said:
"We welcome the Government’s endorsement and look forward to submitting strong bids, working collaboratively with our industry partners and seeking to meet the aspirations of stakeholders."
The Northern and TransPennine Express franchises carried more than 110 million passengers last year, covering inter-urban commuter and rural routes.
