Mott MacDonald has been appointed on Lots 3 and 4 of the G-Cloud 6 framework. G-Cloud is part of a digital marketplace1, established by the UK government, for public sector bodies to procure commodity information technology services from suppliers.

Under Lot 3 – Software as a Service, Mott MacDonald will offer its Merlin crisis and event management system. The software is capable of supporting organisational crisis management by coordinating responses to physical and reputational incidents. Merlin has been used to support transport coordination at a number of recent international sporting events.

Mott MacDonald will provide technical consultancy services related to software applications for all stages of a project’s lifecycle under Lot 4 – Specialist Cloud Services. These include business analysis and assistance in the development of project definitions, business cases and proof of concept prototypes. The consultancy will also undertake all aspects of software and systems development.

Fraser Macdonald, Mott MacDonald’s project director, said: “The G-Cloud 6 framework allows clients to select our software services through a digital marketplace, reducing procurement costs and providing the ability to purchase the precise level of service required.”
