National drug and alcohol charity, Addaction are hosting their 3rd Recovery conference on the 11th and 12th of November in Bristol, to champion recovery and celebrate their recovery champions.

Addaction have partnered with The Amy Winehouse Foundation, Rehab Grads and RIOT Radio for this years conference to offer a unique opportunity into the delivery of service provision along side service users. The conference will feature inspiring individuals and leading experts speaking about innovative approaches to recovery that will help to inform new ways of thinking.

Addaction's vision places the service user at the heart of everything that they do, with particular focus on ensuring service users have a voice and that they are listened to and responded to locally. This is achieved by the help of Addaction’s 200 Recovery Champions, who will be representing the organisations 100 plus services across England and Scotland.

David Badcock, who organises the conference, says:

‘The conference is a great way of sharing the message that lasting recovery from addiction is something that everyone can achieve and aspire to. We are especially excited to be partnering with some great organisations for this years conference that are doing some great work to help people recover from addiction.’

An Addaction Recovery Champion said of last year’s conference:

‘I had a great time met lots of interesting and inspiring people that I am going to keep in touch with. The conference has inspired me and given me more motivation to keep going and try different ways for my recovery.’

The conference will be held on the 11th and 12th of November in Bristol. It is open for all to attend, offering an opportunity for anyone in the UK to learn more about recovery, access resources, share their learning and experiences, and to motivate others to achieve remarkable and positive outcomes in their lives.
