James Swift appointed as Chief of Defence People, replacing Richard Nugee in late February.

David Goldstone to stand down as Chief Operating Officer.

Strategic Command - Ian Smith and Matthew Postgate appointed as Non-Executive Directors.

Scientific Advisory Board of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons - Norman Govan appointed to the board.

David Seymour named as Independent Reviewer.

Bridget Brind has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Student Loans Company - Andrew Wathey appointed as Chair on an interim basis.

Marine Management Organisation – Tony Delahunty and Terence Jagger reappointed to the board.

Migration Advisory Committee - Alan Manning has his term as Chair extended.

Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

Phillip King has been appointed interim Small Business Commissioner.

By-election Results 30th January

Suffolk Council – Andy Drummond elected for Newmarket and Red Lodge – Conservative hold (caused by the resignation of Conservative councillor Robin Millar).

West Suffolk Council – Karen Soons elected for Newmarket North – Conservative hold (caused by the resignation of Conservative councillor Robin Millar).
