Craven District Council - Skipton West – Labour gain from Lib Dem

By-election held due to the death of Lib Dem councillor Polly English

Peter Madeley – Labour - 185 votes (24.0%) **elected**
Edward Walker – Lib Dem – 145 votes (18.5%)
Tim Hudson-Brunt – Conservative – 131 votes (17.0%)
Roger Baxandall – UKIP – 126 votes (16.3%)
Bernard Clarke – Independent – 120 votes (15.5%)
John Lauder – Green – 67 votes (8.7%)

Votes: 772*
Turnout: 776 (25%)
Majority: 40

North Yorkshire County Council – Skipton West – Independent gain from Lib Dem

By-election held due to the death of Lib Dem councillor Polly English
