Charnwood Borough Council– Birstall Wanlip: Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative

Sansome, Simon – Liberal Democrats – 508 (39.6%) – elected
Allen, Mary – Conservative – 419 (32.7%)
Cowles, Marilyn – Labour – 355 (27.7%)

Votes: 1, 282 *number does not include spoilt ballots.
Turnout: 24.9%
Majority: 89

By-election held following the death of Conservative councillor Stuart Jones.

Cardiff City Council– Canton: Labour hold

Elsmore, Susan – Labour – 1, 201 (41.7%) – elected
Tudur, Elin – Plaid Cymru – 972 (33.7%)
Richards, Pam – Conservative – 381 (13.2%)
Griffiths, Jake – Green – 148 (5.1%)
Bateman, Steffan – TUSC – 101 (3.5%)
Hemsley, Matt – Lib Dems – 80 (2.8%)

Votes: 2, 883 *number does not include spoilt ballots.
Turnout: 24.27%
Majority: 229

By-election held following the resignation of Labour councillor Cerys Furlong.
