WATCH: SNP's Mhairi Black recounts shocking misogynistic abuse in powerful speech

SNP firebrand Mhairi Black has revealed some of the shocking misogynistic abuse she receives online in a powerful speech in parliament today.
The 23-year old, who is the youngest MP, read out a series of vile messages sent to her via social media during a Westminster Hall debate on making misogyny a hate crime.
The Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP said she had regularly been told she was “so ugly” no one would want to rape her.
She also read out messages saying she “needs a kick in the c**t” and “you can’t put lipstick on a pig”.
Ms Black told MPs: “All of these insults have been tailored to me because I am a woman.”
Although she was uncomfortable reading the comments out, she added: “There are people who feel comfortable flinging these words around every day.
“When it goes unchallenged it becomes normalised - and when it becomes normalised it creates an environment that allows women to be abused, ranging from a whole spectrum.”
The debate came ahead of International Women's Day tomorrow, which came up during PMQs this afternoon.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said: "Tomorrow is International Women's Day, a chance to celebrate how far we've come... but also reflect on how far we have to go."
But the Prime Minister shot back: "First of all can I thank the RHG for telling me it's International Women's Day tomorrow - I think that's what's called 'mansplaining'."
