In the weeks before the August 31st deadline for U.S. troops to withdraw from Afghanistan, hundreds of people were evacuated. The evacuation, as challenging as it was, was additionally affected by bombings that left hundreds of people dead or injured and resulted in the premature termination of some evacuation efforts.

There are several theories, but scientists don’t know what causes endometriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Despite being conditions which respectively affect one in 10 and one in five women around the world, there are a lot more unknowns around both.

The menopause is something that every woman will experience at some point in her lifetime. When and how we experience it is unique to each of us. For some it will be a simple transition with relatively few side effects. For others the symptoms will be extreme – physically painful, mentally challenging and at their peak, completely life changing.

“Traumatised, forgotten, abandoned.” These are words spoken by victims of domestic abuse, rape and serious sexual assault who are being let down by the criminal justice system - suffering in isolation, scared and often completely unaware of their rights as victims.
