Believe in Blue - Celebrating British Policing

Police Federation | Police Federation of England and Wales

A new campaign to highlight why British policing is the best in the world has been launched.

Every day brings a new challenge for police officers, and recognition of the many roles they play will be highlighted in the new campaign.

Believe in Blue, launched by the Police Federation of England and Wales, will reinvigorate public support for the police.

A series of short films have been produced, and will be rolled out as cinema adverts across England and Wales, giving viewers a real-life experience of what being a police officer is really like.  They can also be viewed on the Believe in Blue website - www.believeinblue.org.uk

Will Riches, vice-chair of the Federation and campaign lead, said: “Being a police officer is undoubtedly one of the toughest jobs around; much more than a job it’s a way of life.

“Believe in Blue lets us share positive stories and talk about the fortitude and many acts of heroism by our officers, which largely go unmentioned. We know the vast majority of the British public are behind their police officers, and we are asking them to support us as we continue to be a strong, united and credible voice of policing in England and Wales.”

The campaign will showcase the demands upon police and the many roles they carry out in society, not just tackling crime. The call to the public is to show their support by sharing and liking on social media using #BelieveinBlue and adding their stories to the website.
