Black cabs are part of London's heritage, but so is innovation
The black cab protest over the Uber app, which is going to take place right next to our office at Trafalgar Square, will begin at 2pm today.
John Dickie, Director of Strategy Policy at business group London First said:
“Black cabs are part of the heritage and fabric of London, but so is innovation, competition and choice.
“Modern technology can give consumers a greater range of choices and better match demand and supply.
“Of course this technology needs to be safe and legal, but the High Court is set to decide on that, and it's difficult to see what this action will do except cause misery for Londoners and visitors to the capital.”
