Christina Rees MP Visits Calor Gas Neath
Neath MP Christina Rees has visited her local Calor Gas depot in Aberdulais, to discover how the company has been preparing for winter and how it intends to keep its customers warm in the face of extreme weather conditions.
After a tour of the Neath facility, and an introduction to Calor staff, Ms Rees talked to Plant Manager Robert Colwill about Calor’s operations and the challenges Calor faces during the winter months.
Calor’s Robert Colwill said: “We are delighted that Ms Rees took the time to visit us and it was great to have the opportunity to show her Calor’s Neath operation.
“Winter is always our busiest time of year, and the last few years have been particularly testing, with bad weather making delivery to some of our more remote customers difficult.
“This year, Calor as a company is better equipped for winter than ever before – from taking on additional employees and continuously improving our delivery systems, to a revamped fleet of vehicles across Great Britain – and I am confident that we are better placed than ever to handle whatever weather comes our way.”
Christina Rees MP said: “Calor Gas has been serving people in Neath for decades, and for those not connected to a main gas supply the importance of this service cannot be underestimated – particularly during the winter months.
“As a well established and valued employer – with responsibility for more than 100 jobs – Calor Neath’s depot also plays an important role in the community.
“I would like to thank Calor and its staff for their hard work and dedication in making sure people’s homes stay warm during what are often very challenging weather conditions.”
